I found the kindness you extended to my wife and myself to be quite extraordinary. In addition, your comprehensive knowledge of the geography and military history of the region greatly enhanced our visit. I would highly recommend your services to anyone wishing an informative and completely in-depth tour of the D Day beaches. To me "The Longest Day" turned out to be the best day we had in France. Your tour helped to fulfill a life long dream of visiting Normandy.
Our fabulous experience with Eddie Parks on our recent tour of Normandy exceeded our expectations. Sharon and Eddie were most accommodating in setting up the tour to our specifications. Eddie was professional, prompt and courteous. His knowledge base of the invasion and the area is phenomenal (he could be a college professor). Compared to our shipmates who went on other tours, we saw more and learned more. Lunch on Omaha Beach was a nice touch.
My wife and I had the opportunity to visit the Normandy D-Day areas. To allow us to make the best use of the time, we engaged the services of Col Edward Parks of CdB Tours. Col Parks conduct of the tour was outstanding. Col Parks is an expert in the history of the area, and in the detail of the Allied landings that took place in Normandy beaches and surrounding area. His tour was a full day. There was never a dull moment. Prior to visiting France, my wife and I had seen "The Longest Day" and "Saving Private Ryan". Col Parks brought realism to our memories of these movies. His detail was tempered with an emphasis on why and how events took place during D-Day and subsequent to the landings. Most of all he recounted the results. And of course, at the end of the day, we experienced very poignant moments walking through the American Cemetery. Col Parks’ presentation prepared us for this emotional experience. Col Parks' provided the best portrayal of this significant moment in world history. Col Parks’ tours of the D-Day areas are highly recommended. We will never forget the personal treatment given to us by both Col Edward and Sharon Parks, before, during and after our visit.
